Meet the Team
Our Doctors
I qualified from Leicester University in 1985 and have been practising in Culcheth since November 1991. I am the senior partner at the Practice.
My special interests include Dermatology, Child health, Women's health and Aesthetic medicine.
I am a traditional GP with a holistic approach to client care. I am married with three boys, the youngest of which still lives with us at home.
Born in St.Helens in 1963 and have remained in that area since. I trained at Liverpool University, qualifying in 1988 and spent my early years working in Whiston and Ormskirk Hospitals. I had toyed with the idea of becoming a paediatrician, but decided that working in the community as a GP would give me the ultimate job satisfaction.
I gained post-graduate diplomas in child health and obstetrics and gynaecology.
Since 1992 I have worked as a full-time GP, first in Prescot then for 13 years in St.Helens before moving to Culcheth as a part-time GP in 2006.
My current areas of special interest are paediatrics, dermatology and palliative care.
I am a trustee of the Thandi Friends Project which supports a poor community in South Africa.
Medicine was a career I embarked on a little later in life having initially studied physiology at Newcastle University. I then studied medicine at Dundee University qualifying in 2004 before heading south to Liverpool to embark on my general practice training.
Having met my wife in Liverpool I am happily settled in the North West and just had a baby girl (Emily Grace). I'm looking forward to continuing my GP career in Culcheth over the coming years.
Though born in India, I have been brought up in South Manchester since I was 2yrs old! I completed my medical training at Dundee University in 2005. I then went on to complete my hospital training in the Midlands. Initially I wanted to become a cardiothoracic surgeon, but I realised what gave me utmost job satisfaction was being involved in the continuity of care of my patients and having a good rapport. I completed my GP training in Peterborough and then moved back up north to Manchester to be close to my family and friends.
I have been working here in Culcheth since Sept 2011. I have an interest in Women's health and completed my DRCOG in October 2010. My special interest lies in Dermatology and I am currently pursuing a post-graduate degree in Dermatology with the University of Cardiff.
I enjoy watching and reading, mainly suspense & thrillers and I love travelling.
