Dr. Neil Fisher MB ChB, MRCGP
I qualified in 1997 from Liverpool University. I started my career in surgical
specialities, before moving into General Practice in 2001. I fully qualified as
a GP in 2003 and have been a full time partner in Culcheth since 2004.
My medical interests are varied but tend to revolve around musculoskeletal
problems and general wellbeing. I am a strong believer in the positive
benefits of keeping healthy through diet and exercise to promote
well-being. I also run a weekly minor surgery session removing lumps, bumps
and such things.
Outside of surgery my medical interests involve work in athletics. I am
medical officer for Sale harrier's athletics team and also an event doctor for
UK Athletics, I have had the opportunity to work at major event trials and
even (Inadvertently) ended up on TV! I have studied my diploma in sports
and exercise medicine through the University of Bath and use this to
enhance my services to the practice.
I am married to Sandra who is also a doctor; we have 2 children Benjamin and
Abigail and 2 cats (Meg and Mog). I enjoy keeping fit with running (I partake
in half marathons and keep trying to improve my times, not always
successfully!), cycling and general gym work.
