Dr. Arun Ghosh MB ChB, MRCGP, DFFP
Dr. Arun Ghosh has been at Culcheth Medical Centre for 18 months and fitted well
into the family atmosphere here at the practice. He was born in Liverpool and
schooled on the Wirral before commencing his undergraduate medical training at
Liverpool University.
Dr. Arun Ghosh qualified in 2003 and started his junior doctor years at Arrowe
Park Hospital on the Wirral before deciding on a career in General Practice.
He then commenced his Vocational Training at Whiston Hospital completing his 3
year rotations of specialities.
Finishing as GP registrar year in St. Helens means he has worked in a breath of GP
practices and services before settling into a full time partnership here at Culcheth.
His main interests currently lie in Sexual Health, Obstetrics and Gynaecology,
Weight Management and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.
Dr. Arun Ghosh currently runs the weekly Family Planning clinic with Denise our
practice nurse; he is able to offer a complete range of Family Planning Services for
all our patients. He is also keen to develop our practices IT levels so we are more
readily available and able to communicative with our patients. This website is his
first start!
Outside the job he also works on local media, presenting a weekly medical show
and appearing on both BBC and ITV as resident medical experts. He is also keen
traveller and sportsman though I promise you all he has have been further than
